I'm giddy!
What fun it was to piece this quilt. Is this gorgeous or what! Only took 2 weeks. Definitely look for more of these from me. This one is destined for a quilt show and offered for sale. Could be a wall hanging or a throw blanket. 42" x 68" The photo doesn't do it justice...I wish you could see the nuance of color, and sparkle in some of the fabrics

This is the fantastic "Grandmothers Victory Garden"quilt my mom made. All hand stitched. She is graciously letting me attach the binding and then enter it into a quilt show for her. I think the judges would be crazy not to give it a ribbon!

book club tonight
I spent a relaxing and engaging evening with my good friends at book club. Tonight's book was Rise to Rebellion by Jeff Shaara. A great read! And good discussion about the American Revolution and the personalities, catalysts, and inspiration behind it. Fun to think about and discuss history when I won't be tested on it tomorrow ;) I love my friends. This is one evening a month that I never miss.
